The right to show your image and link on a space on the Netplots map, for as long as its maintenance is paid and Netplots runs. A plot is digital display space on our website: it isn't real land, property, a domain, a token or an investment, it has no guaranteed value, and you shouldn't buy one expecting to make money.

Every plot costs £10, whether it's a 1×1 Small or an 8×8 XL. The bigger ones are simply rarer, so it's first come, first served.

Each plot comes with 30 days of maintenance included. After that, maintenance keeps your image on the map, from 70p a month for a Small plot, or £5.40 for a whole year. Bigger plots cost a bit more. If it runs out your image is hidden, and 7 days later the plot goes back on sale. We email you before both.

An image and a link. Your logo, your art, your face, your project: anything that follows our content rules. Nothing illegal, hateful or explicit.

Yes. Explore the map, click the plot you want and claim it. What you pick is what you get.

The first 100 people to buy plots become Founders. They get a numbered Founder badge on their profile, and every plot in their first purchase is maintenance-free forever (as long as they own it). Plots they buy later need maintenance like anyone else's, so founders usually buy all the plots they want in one go.

Yes. Select the plots, tick "This is a gift" and enter their email. We email them a link to claim the plots, and their 30 free days of maintenance start when they claim. Gifts don't count towards Founder spots.

Yes. Your account page has a personal invite link. Friends who sign up count towards your invite badges, and when a friend makes their first purchase you get £2 off your next plots and you both get an extra month of maintenance.

Yes. The Shop has effects for your images (a glowing border, a sparkle, your name on the image, or an animated GIF) and looks for your profile, like moving backgrounds, picture frames and name effects. Everything goes into your inventory, so you can buy before you have an image and move effects between images whenever you like. Some items are limited, and some are only for Founders or for inviting friends.

Yes. With a free account you can paint 3 squares of unclaimed space on the map every day, and dig for hidden treasure 5 times a day. Treasure prizes go straight into your inventory.

Soon. A marketplace for buying and selling plots between owners is on its way: list a plot at your price, buyers pay or make an offer, and the money goes to your bank minus a 10% Netplots fee.

Yes. From your account you can move a plot to any free plot of the same size, once every 30 days. Your maintenance moves with it, but any image on the old spot is taken down, so you'll upload it again for the new one.

You'll be able to update your image and link from your account after you've claimed a plot.

The map has hotspots, neighbourhoods where the larger plots gather, surrounded by calmer areas of Small plots. It gives Netplots some geography to explore rather than a plain grid.
