Content & forum rules

The short version: Netplots is one big shared picture that anyone can see, including people at work and younger visitors. Keep it legal, keep it friendly, and don't trick people. We check every image before it goes on the map, and moderators keep an eye on the forum.

On your plots (images and links)

Images and links must not include or lead to:

  • nudity, sexual content or anything sexualising children (which we report to the authorities);
  • graphic violence, gore, or anything promoting self-harm;
  • hate or harassment aimed at people because of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or similar;
  • scams, phishing, malware, fake giveaways, or anything designed to trick people into handing over money or details;
  • illegal products or services, including drugs, weapons and unlicensed gambling;
  • someone else's logo, artwork, photos or brand unless you have permission to use it;
  • other people's personal information (addresses, phone numbers, private photos);
  • content pretending to be Netplots, another company or another person;
  • flashing or deliberately unreadable images designed to annoy visitors.

Links should go where they say they're going. If a link changes to something that breaks these rules after it's been approved, we'll remove it.

In the forum and on profiles

  • Be kind. Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, threats, bullying or hate.
  • No spam: no repeated posts, chain messages, or advertising outside the “Show off your plot” area.
  • No selling plots, accounts or anything else for real money in the forum.
  • Don't post anything you wouldn't be allowed to put on a plot (see above).
  • Don't impersonate other members or the Netplots team. Only verified accounts have a blue tick.
  • One account per person. Using extra accounts to like your own posts or dodge a ban isn't allowed.

What happens if rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  • reject or remove the image, link, post, profile picture or bio;
  • lock a forum thread;
  • take back plots (without a refund);
  • ban the account.

Our moderators make the final call. If you think we've got it wrong, email support@netplots.com and we'll take another look.

Reporting something

Use the Report button on any forum post. For anything on the map or anyone's profile, email support@netplots.com, or let a moderator know on our Discord. Tell us which plot or profile it is and what's wrong.
